Where oh, where is the MOLASSES??

Ok, So I have been wanting to make Annie's most delicious Gingerbread Men to bring into my First Grade Class. We have been talking about Gingerbread Men, Boys, Girls, Babies, & Fred's for the last two weeks. We have made a Gingerbread Village & YES!! I made a Gingerbread House!! It was too FUN!! Anyways, I really wanted to bring the yummy Gingerbread Cookies that our Annie makes, that we love so so so much!! So I got out the recipe & looked at all the ingredients.  I asked Mom & she said that she had tried to make them once, but they weren't as yummy as Annie's. (That made me a little weary to try.) But I figured what the heck. I just needed a rolling pin, eggs, brown sugar, and molasses.  All the other ingredients we had at the house.

So, on Friday, I bought a wooden rolling pin.  On Saturday, before I went to meet Anita & the girls for lunch, I went to WalMart & got 100% Molasses Syrup.  Forgetting about eggs & brown sugar.  Then while talking to Maggi, she said she had brown sugar. So, I figured all I needed to get was eggs... I did, I stole them from Maggi's house!!!  Problem solved, I had everything that I needed...

Saturday night, on my way home after getting Maggi's brown sugar & stealing her eggs!! I realized at midnight that what I had bought was NOT MOLASSES!! But 100% MAPLE SYRUP!!!!! Dang it!!! No Gingerbread Men for me!!

Well, Sunday morning, I awake to the sound of cooking...Dad stole the eggs from me & made them for breakfast!! And then Sunday night, I found out that Maggi has MOLASSES at her house too & I could have just stole that as well!! Moral of the story, search Maggi's house better before going to the store!! ;)

This is me on a date. We went sledding and I was trying to hit the jump standing on the sled. Incase you can't tell, it didn't quite work out. But don't worry my only injury came from Tom when he crushed my face into the ice with his chest! love yall

conditioner

Jumped in the shower in a hurry, washed my hair, put conditioner on it and thought I'd just leave it on until I finished showering.  Jumped out of the shower, dried off, got dressed and was towel drying my hair when I realized that it felt awfully slinky....Guess what was still on it?....:) Mom

Dog Face....

So I was over at my friends house and one of their sons was grilling some elk steak and was complaining that the dog was bothering him. So I went outside to play fetch with their dog (it's a boxer)and I didn't put my shoes back on cause I knew there was enough cement I could stand on.......their son forgot to mention the fact he just washed his truck and it was soaking wet! Anyway, the dog liked this sloberific football. So I just kicked it and the dog would bring it back. One time the dog didn't wait for me to kick it and I kicked the dog in the face! You could see the teeth prints in the bruise on my foot! The bruise is right where you would kick a soccer ball. So needless to say I think of there dog every time I put my shoe on, especially if I am in a hurry and shove on my shoe ( I feel it for a few minutes). It should be gone in a few days...hopefully.

Who knew??

So the other week I was sewing and I was making a button hole for the first time, so I guess I was to close to the sewing machine and the thread uptake lever (hook at the top of the sewing machine)pulled in one of my hairs and threaded it through the machine! It hurt soo bad! The girl sitting beside me was cracking up and my teacher looked at me like I just shot her dog or something, I guess she never saw anything like that and she has been sewing for 35 years.....it didn't take me 2 months:) I didn't get my hair back, I had to cut it off.Good thing it was just one, now I pull my hair back when I use the sewing machines cause.."IT'S GONNA EAT ME!!!!"

The gravity affects of sleep.....

Yesterday during devotional I fell asleep and fell out of my chair! Luckily I wasn't wearing a skirt and I was close to the back; but I don't think I will ever sit on the end seat ever again.

Hot Stuff!

I stepped on a hot electrode the other week and didn't realize it. I felt something on the bottom of my boot and hit it off, but something still felt funny so I looked. There was an imprint of an electrode in the bottom of my boot (flux still included)!

Dad's Night Driving

sheila said...
I was driving w/ Dad @ night...a dangerous combination. As most of you know Dad always reminds me to keep BOTH hands located on the wheel, so I was returning the favor. Here was his comment to me: "Just b/c I can't see @ night, doesn't mean you can." ---which in case that's obscure was EXACTLY opposite of what he meant to say...Written w/ Dad's permission :)

well, i guess i'll start

Well, I thought I'd be really fancy and book Becca's flight for her-to get back to school after Christmas break. So, i did the research and finally found a "good price" so I clicked that ticket and booked it as fast as I could! I forwarded her flight schedule to Mom, Dad & Allison. The next day I found an email from Dad -"isn't January 5th a little late for Christmas" -not that I understood it at first but after a few minutes reviewing Becca's flight-my stomach sunk so low -I felt sick instantly! I booked her flight BACKWARDS! (name the movie) It's resolved now & Becca didn't know about my clubfoot until after it was fixed-thanks, Mom.
